Urgent news

This morning Mac woke up with a high fever, cough, and he was unable to lift his legs to walk; so we went to the ER. They found that his platelets and hemoglobin were extremely low; and so they have admitted him to an acute care room were he will receive at least 2 units of blood. They've yet to decide on a unit of platelets. They're also pumping him full of all-purpose antibiotics. They think that the low blood counts are helping to mask an infection, so the oncologist and the er doc opted for caution.

Tomorrow they'll decide on whether Mac is released to come home, or kept in the hospital. The blood work shows that we MIGHT be traveling back to where Mac was in January. If so, options are limited. Mac is in the Lord's hands and Mac and I are trusting Him for whatever is ahead.

Now, I'm totally exhausted from lack of sleep, no food all day, and generally worrying, so I'm going to have a light dinner and head to bed.

Our prayers go out to all of you as you pray with us.
