2   July     Wednesday …… YAQUINA BAY CRABBING TRIP ……. (See the Flyer on THE WALL in the Club House)

 

Don’t miss this FUN DAY on the BAY CRABBING TRIP !!!  There are still several Boat Slots open for additional Crabbers, all you need to do is let Wayde Dudley know of your interest to GO !!!  When all of you Successful Crabbers return with your Crabs, the Fishing Club will provide Crab Cookers, Coleslaw & Bread for a Fun Crab Feed at the Club House >>>>>>

 

3  July     Thursday …….. 9 AM      BREAKFAST MEETING

 

Once again, we gather together to enjoy a Fun Breakfast at the Agate Beach Golf Course Restaurant. If this gathering holds like our last Breakfast, we should get some good Fishing & Crabbing Stories >< Most of which are TRUE !!!  We will look forward to seeing you at this event.

 

14 July    Monday ………..9 AM      3ed QTR.  ODFW/FISHING CLUB COORDINATION MEETING 

 

This Quarterly ODFW Meeting is attended by various members of the 3 Coastal Fishing Clubs to coordinate our volunteer efforts, which directly support our Common Ethos of Stewardship & Sustainability of our Coastal Fisheries.

 

17 July    Thursday ………9 AM     GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

 

This should be a very informative meeting, which will attempt to shed some additional light on the discussions the City of Newport is having regarding various water quality issues at Nye Beach. We have invited Charlie Plybon, the Field Coordinator for the Surfrider Foundation, to give us his perspective on what his organization is about & the Collaborative Advocacy his organization is trying to bring to the table with the various Water Quality Issues in our Coastal Area.

This is one of our regularly scheduled FC Board Meetings. We will use this time to review Last Quarter’s FC Activities & Coordinate / Plan the New Quarter’s Business. If any members have issues that they would like us to consider, please make your thoughts known to any of the various Board Members. They will ensure that your ideas get on the Meeting Agenda for consideration.

 

SADLY I AM TO REPORT THAT ODFW HAS STOPPED IT’S TROUT STOCKING PROGRAM FOR 2008.

 

HOWEVER, I DO WANT TO ENCOURAGE ALL OF YOU TO GET INVOLVED IN THE SILETZ SUMMER RUN FISH TRAPPING PROGRAM ….. PLEASE CONTACT ELECTRIC BILL FURGASON, SO HE CAN GET YOU ON THE JULY DUTY ROSTER.
