First Steelhead for me >>> LINDA REED !!!!!

RED HOT & JUST IN >< CONGRATULATIONS >>>>>>> LINDA REED !!!

From: Linda

Subject: First Steelhead for me.

My first steelhead today on the Siletz. River with Greg Harlow.  Hair short of 22". Kinda "skinny" though, maybe 5-6 lbs. Didn't weigh it. Finally got my first keeper. Now to see if I can improve on it someday? Beautiful day drifting  the river today. Greg gave me many good pointers on Steelhead fishing, so I learned more too. I good day!

I have contacted Ryan for a Springer guide referral if he has one but also, I want to book him for the Buoy 10 fishery I think in August. His sled handles 4 people plus him. Want to join me then for Chinooks? If not let me know? Just trying to organize a small group I know for some fishing fun up North for a day or two?

From: pandpreed [mailto:preednewport@charter.net]

Hi John, last Friday, I was a guest of our friend Steve, the fly guy, his

guest-Walt, a newbe to steelhead fishing, and we teamed up with Craig, a pro

guide who's been fishing the Siletz River for 26 years and he took me on my

first two steelhead trips on the Siletz River 22 years ago, as you can see

Steve and Walt did great, I just got to go for a boat ride, but it sure was

fun fishing with Craig again, we see each other on the river throught the

years, but being in the boat with him again was sure fun. Not many fish

around, but Steve landed a 16 lbs fish, they ranged from 6-16 lbs. Take care

and hope to see you soon, Phil Reed----- Original Message -----

Extinction Countdown: An ugly truth: The future is dim for the world's homeliest fish: "Can't the blobfish (Psychrolutes marcidus) get some love? This ugly, gelatinous, inedible fish now risks extinction thanks to humans trawling marine murky depths for lobsters and crabs."
