U.S. 20 Construction Update - Starting Thurs,Oct. 14, contractors will reduce traffic to one lane from 8pm  to 6am

U.S. 20 Construction Update:

The bridge repair work on U.S. 20 west of Toledo will increase in intensity this month.

Starting Thursday, Oct. 14, contractors will reduce traffic to one lane from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. between mileposts 3 and 5.  The restrictions will not occur every night, but drivers should watch for flaggers controlling one-way traffic Monday through Thursday nights.

Contractors expect to restrict traffic to one lane on U.S. 20 west of Toledo for up to 36 hours at a time as early as Nov 1.

Detour signage was set up in the case a full highway closure was needed for bridge work.  After placement of the detour signs the contractor developed a proposal that could possibly eliminate the detours by using the 36 hour single lane closure.  If the proposed single lane closure works as planned the full highway closure will not be required.

We will continue to update you as well as the greater public about mobility impacts as more information is available. We understand and are actively trying to minimize the impacts lane restrictions have on the traveling public.
