12/06/2007

There were decorations and a Christmas tree so this must have been our Christmas breakfast meeting at the Agate Beach Golfcourse. In the spirit of The Holiday there was much laughter and good cheer and everyone had a good time visiting. Most of the talking centered around our experiences with the recent storm. We learned our friends in Waldport and Lincoln City were without power for days and fared much worse than those of us from Longview Hills. All in all, even though some of us had a little more damage than others, we were all blessed and lucky to get through the storm without any major disaster.

We had some special guests, too. Bud Roark brought his lovely Mary. We were all happy to see Mrs. Strangebones (aka Jeannine Roederer who has just had her second hip operation) up and around. Last, but not least, John Spangler announced the winner of this year's Joe Longo Award and it was our very own, very special Bill Furgason. He was very appreciative. The Award will be given at the next meeting at the Clubhouse on December 20th.

We hope to see you all at the Clubhouse on December 20th with your spouses, friends and neighbors so we can truly make this a Holiday gathering. If you are unable to make the next meeting, the Board of the Longview Hills Fishing Club would like to wish you all a very, very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful and Happy New Year!

First Lady (the one with the beautiful new hat)
