2008 CHRISTMAS GATHERING

LONGVIEW HILLS FISHING CLUB

3ed ANNUAL CHRISTMAS GATHERING & JOE LONGO AWARD EVENT         (18 December 2008)

Hello & Happy Holidays to all of our LVH Fishing Club Members >><< I sure hope you were able to attend this recent Holiday Event.

We had a Great Turn Out, with lots of Goodies (Compliments of Barb & Mary) & of course Frank did us proud with his World Class Coffee !!!

It was Really Fun to Acknowledge a Significant Number of our Members who always seem to stay “Just Under the Radar” & was doubly so, to recognize MIKE SAMPLES with a Special GIT-R-DONE Trophy for the work he recently did, which greatly contributed to our ability to open the Schooner Creek Fish Trap for Winter Operations.

CONGRATULATIONS >>again<< To BRIAN HUDSON who was the WINNER of our 2008 Joe Longo Award. We are very pleased that Brian’s wife Pam was able to join us & of course, we had a Great Time Roasting Brian. Brian is now the President of the Mid-Coast Chapter of the North West Steelheaders & we are very proud to claim his Early Roots as a LVH FC Member & for serving as our Clubs Operations Officer. It was great to have Bill Furgason, our 2007 Joe Longo Award Winner, in attendance. Our Good Friend Charles Burke (2006 Joe Award Winner) came down with the Flu & was kind enough not to attend our meeting & share his Bug with us. Thanks Charles & get well soon …….

We are very pleased that Casey Deckard was able to represent all of our Friends at ODFW & It was Great to Congratulate Butch Minich on being the 2008 Winner of the CCFF Chuck Scott Award. We concluded our gathering with Frank & Wayne conducting a fun Door Prize Drawing (Tickets Compliments of CCFF) and Prizes Compliments of our Very Good LVH Friends BILL & BETTY HANUS. It is also appropriate, that we recognize JACKY THOMAS & her Good Colleagues in the Social Club for the Lovely Christmas Decorations, which added greatly to our Holiday Spirit.

Allow me to use this Hoilday Event, to close out our 4th year as a Fishing Club, on such a High Note >> with << Our Warmest Regards for the Christmas Season & a Very Happy New Year to each & every one of you…………… THE HOOK
