This in from Dudley, Stout and Hudson on November 4th:

Frank and Wayde met Brian in Florence for a day of fishing on Siltcoos Lake south of Florence. The day nearly started with a tragedy with a close call in Yachats. On the north edge of town we came very close to hitting a person walking south in the travel lane. Frank made a nice move using the brakes and steering to avoid the collision. He may have potential to race with Bryan when the car gets finished.
We launched the boat near dawn and started trolling south. I had high hopes for a few coho because Frank and I both were using the latest, greatest, newest super-duper, no-fail, you betcha, guaranteed to catchem lure. We lowered the overall catch percentage for this lure though by not getting a single strike. We are blaming it on the full moon. We tried trolling and also throwing spinners and plugs in numerous places on the lake but no coho.
Frank caught a 14" rainbow on a plug. Brian caught the largest yellow perch of his life. It was a long and intense struggle but Brian prevailed. Frank and I were ready to pull anchor and follow the fish but Brian finally subdued it and the fish was boated. It tipped the ruler at a whopping 10 inches. Unfortunately I forgot to get a photo of the catch.
It was a great day for fishing and we had a good time. Will try again later this month.

Note: The pictures are of beautiful Siltcoos Lake. Unfortunately, Wayde didn't get any pictures of beautiful Brian and Frank catching fish . . .
