LVH FC >< CHRISTMAS GATHERING >< 2K10

HELLO & HAPPY HOLIDAYS >< To all of Our LVH FC Members >>>>>>>>

I sincerely hope you were able to attend our Christmas Gathering yesterday. It was a real “Hum-Dinger” of an Event >>> We were delighted to have with us, in addition to all of our many members, the Deckard Family, various ODFW representatives, & several of our CCFF Friends. Did I mention the plethora of fun things we had to Eat & Drink >< Compliments of our 1st Lady, Barb >< Beach Mistress, Ellie & Ducks Stout.

We Kicked Off by Presenting CASEY DECKARD with our 2K10 JOE LONGO AWARD >< This was highlighted by some wonderful Casey Stories, which our members shared with us >< If you were not able to attend the gathering >< You Really Must Get Frank to tell you the Casey Hand Shake Story … It’s Hilarious !!!

After appropriately Roasting Casey, we did some Surprise MERITORIOUS SERVICE AWARD Presentations to FRANK STOUT (Administrative Officer) & BARBARA DUDLEY (Public Affairs Officer). These 2 Outstanding People have faithfully served, over the last 4 years, as your FC Board Members. They contributed greatly to making your Fishing Club a much respected organization here on the Oregon Coast.

This was also a fitting time to present ELLIE LeMASTER with a small token of our appreciation, for all of the contributions she continues to make scheduling & coordinating our Quarterly Beverly Beach Litter Patrols >><< Allow me to also mention, that we took this opportunity to correct an egregious, error on our part, by presenting our Special Friend & Honorary Member, DEREK WILSON, with an Official LVH FC Ball Cap. He was Delighted !~!~!  It should be noted, that SANTA CLAUS provided some small gifts for Kelly Deckard & the Children, MaKennah & Kaiden.

Then >< Just as President-Elect Wayne Hill & I were about to close the meeting >><< WAMO !~!~!  Wayne & All of the FC Board Members pulled a Big Surprise on me >>> They presented me with a Beautiful Rainbow Trout, which was the 1st Fish ever carved by, our Renowned Wood Carver, Frank Stout >><< Believe me it is Absolutely Beautiful, as it is displayed on a Walnut Mount >>>>>

The engraved plaque reads >( To John Spangler >< President 2006 – 2010 >< From a Grateful Membership )< I am humbled by this gesture.

As I said in my closing remarks >< “After 5 years >< This will be the Last Time I stand before you as the President of the Longview Hills Fishing Club >< Allow me to Thank Each & Everyone of You for allowing Me that Honor & Privilege.”

On That Note >< MERRY CHRISTMAS & A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL >>>>>>>>>>> THE HOOK
