Columnists - StatesmanJournal.com: "Case in point: The Aviva Sports' 'Fishin' Buddy.'

It's a remote-controlled model boat equipped with 'hooks, bobbers and fishing line.'

The idea is that you zip the boat out on the pond, then once a fish hits, 'reel' it in by directing the boat back to you.

According to the press kit, the Fishin' Buddy can battle a fish as big as 2 pounds into submission.

My sense is that the Fishin' Buddy isn't legal is Oregon, one of the cardinal rules being that 'rods and lines be closely attended.'"
