Halibut sport fishery extended..................




The all-depth Pacific halibut sport fishery will be open off the central Oregon coast from Cape Falcon to Humbug Mountain every Friday through Sunday starting today (Sept. 8) through the earlier of quota attainment or Oct. 29. As more than 28,000 pounds remain in the quota, the daily bag limit has been increased to two fish.In addition, the nearshore Pacific halibut fishery remains open seven days a week inside of the 40-fathom curve (defined by waypoints) through the earlier of quota attainment or Oct. 31. The daily bag limit is one fish on days that are not open to all-depth fishing.
