Hello you All, this intended to give you a “Heads Up” on what I see on our calendar for the month of September. You may recall Mary & I will be up on the Metolius River for the first full week of September. This will be my last opportunity to do some real, Trout, fly fishing before the fall Steelhead & Salmon run. Sparky will be gone during that same time frame----so----the job of hosting the 1st meeting in Sept. will fall on Big Fish.

7 Sept. @ 9 AM Breakfast Meeting at the Agate Beach Golf Course Restaurant. As always, this should be a fun social gathering of Fishermen & Friends. Members are reminded that guests are always invited to attend any of our meetings and/or events. Come one, Come all with your latest fishing stories and enjoy this fun bi-monthly event !!

21 Sept. @ 9 AM General Membership Meeting. We will be having two guest presenters. Alan Canfield will be joined by his son Doug Canfield and they will be showing us, and explaining how to use, the necessary fishing gear we will need to fish for Salmon. What we hope to do, is use Alan & Doug’s presentation as a preview for a Fish Along, down on the Alsea River, using various boats owned by our members. You all will be hearing more about this as Big Fish gets this put together. Keep a sharp eye on your E-Mail traffic regarding this fun (late Sept.—early Oct.) event.

Litter Patrol………..We may not need to schedule a formal Litter Patrol this Month. What we see happening is a reduced Big Creek visitor pattern and Big Fishes Bag Experiment along the upper & lower reservoir’s seems to be working very well. Perhaps, all that will be required is a bag change at the various stations & some minimal pick up work. Big Fish will let us know what kind of “People Power” he may need. Watch your EM Traffic for more information on this issue.

Fish Along on the Alsea……………Stay tuned for EM Traffic on this issue !!!
