JUNE MEETING & EVENT SCHEDULE

1 JUNE @ 9 AM General Membership Meeting with a guest presenter in the form of Tom Roederer (The Bear Ambassador). Tom, as many of you know, is one of our own and he is actively involved with ODFW as a volunteer. He will be giving us a Power Point Presentation on “Living with Bears”. This is valuable information we all should be aware of considering that we have an occasional Bear Visitor in our Longview Hills Community. In addition, this will be the day that the Special LVH Fishing Club Ball Caps will be made available to all members. Additional caps will be available for sale to all those who have not already placed an order.

14 JUNE @ 9 AM This will be our day to take a Tour of the US Coast Guard Station here in Newport. All members are to meet at the Club House and Big Fish will organize car pool drivers to get us down to the USCG Station on/before 10 AM. We will be given a Power Point Presentation on the Station’s Mission followed by a walk thru tour of their Crash Boats.

15 JUNE @ 9 AM In place of our regularly scheduled General Membership Meeting, Big Fish will be coordinating our June Litter Pick-up morning at the Big Creek Reservoir. Please watch for more information on our Web Site regarding this event. As you may know we did our first Litter Patrol last month and it was fun & very successful. The Club has endorsed doing this Voluntary Community Service Event monthly. We hope to get at least 8 members on each litter patrol so we can get the job done rapidly. The more the better.
