Newport News-Times: Smaller may be better in Devils Lake Fishing Tournament:

Neil Spofford, owner of Neil's Pizza and Pool Hall at 1512 SE Hwy 101 believes people can win by losing. To prove his point, Neil has offered a free pizza to the competitor in the upcoming Devils Lake Fishing Tournament who hauls in the smallest fish.

The Devils Lake Fishing Tournament is being held as a celebration for Father's Day on the weekend of June 17 and June 18 at Blue Heron Landing, located at 4006 W. Devils Lake Road in Lincoln City.
Those wishing to participate should pre-register by contacting the Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau. Registration is also open from 8 a.m., Friday, June 16 until noon on Sunday, June 18 at noon at Blue Heron Landing. There is a fee of $5 for those 14 years of age and older, and children less than 14 years of age may register for free. Fishing begins at noon on Saturday, June 17 and closes at 5 p.m. on June 18.
