Commission to meet in Burns............

SALEM - The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting May 11-12 in Burns.
On Thursday, the Commission will tour the region, with stops planned at Malheur Lake, Krumbo Reservoir, points around Frenchglen, and the Page Springs campground. The tour departs at 8 a.m. from the Best Western Rory and Ryan Inns in Hines, and is scheduled to conclude at 3 p.m. The public is welcome to follow the Commission for the tour.
Friday's meeting begins at 8 a.m. at Burns High School, 1100 Oregon Avenue. Wildlife division staff will brief the Commission on migratory bird management in Oregon, and the state's role in managing migratory birds in the Pacific Flyway. Staff also will provide an update on implementation of state's sage grouse conservation assessment and strategy.
