Outlook bright for ocean salmon...........

NEWPORT ...... The Pacific Fishery Management Council recommended lengthy coho and Chinook seasons for sport anglers, while closing much of the coast to commercial fishing.
'Right now the media is saying 700 miles of coastline is going to be closed and that's just not accurate,' says Trey Carskadon, president of the Northwest Sportfishing Industry Association. 'There is going to be a good opportunity for the recreational fishery, that's for sure.
